Project Manager

The Project Manager will manage a key client project. Project management responsibilities include setting up, coordination and completion of related projects on time, within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.

 

The successful candidate will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible to fulfill client needs.

 

May require a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with manufacturing and assembly, practices and procedures, in addition to high level management of software development. 

 

Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Perform a variety of tasks. Lead and direct the work of others. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to execute projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is a plus

Assembler

A person in the Assembler position will:

  • Use a variety of hand tools
  • Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular production process
  • Review work orders and blueprints to ensure work is performed according to specifications
  • Obtain proper product materials per Bill of Materials
  • Have knowledge of safety devices and operating procedures
  • Assembling mechanical components and kits
  • Installing components and kits into a housing unit
  • Attain appropriate production rates for assigned work center
  • Perform quality checks on products and parts
  • Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, etc.
  • Package finished products and prepare them for shipment
  • Sweep, or otherwise clean work areas
  • Complete production reports to communicate results to management

May be responsible for

  • Routine preventative maintenance, minor setup and changeover of workstation
  • Maintaining good housekeeping, keeping machinery and work area clean and safe
  • Assisting other team members with work, rework and final production
  • Following step by step standard work procedure to ensure final part/product meets all quality standards
  • Must be willing and able to operate on multiple work areas per production schedule
  • All other related duties as directed by the Supervisor


Qualifications

Graduation from high school plus high level vocational training and experience in the field; supervisory experience highly desirable; or any equivalent combination of training and experience and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with engineers, scientists, students, and other team members.

Embedded Systems Programmer

This person must have experience programming embedded systems for products that have successfully been delivered to the market.

  • Manage current codebase including: tracking/fixing bugs
  • Work with manufacturing to develop programming workflows/systems at the factory
  • Work with sales and server-side teams to add features to current products
  • Strong experience with compiled languages
  • Strong experience with programming in C/C++
  • Experience with developing for embedded systems (Arduino and RaspberryPi generally do not count)
  • Neat and organized (especially important, we need to write clean, well-commented, and organized code)
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with various internal teams and external manufacturing
  • Experience with Mongoose OS
  • Basic knowledge of embedded systems and inter-chip communication methods I2C, UART
  • Unit testing in C/C++
  • Experience with AWS IOT
  • Experience with IOT/embedded systems security

Administrative Assistant

Supports team by organizing and facilitating work among staff at all levels in order to keep the operation running smoothly.

  • Provides general administrative and clerical support, as well as specialized support, for example in the areas of scheduling and coordinating meetings
  • Works with CRM and other organizational applications with vendors and suppliers as appropriate
  • Entails a combination of clerical functions, maintaining databases, creating reports, writing emails and other correspondence
  • Securing tools and resources for the team as needed.

SMT Machine Operator

This person must have the ability to run reflow ovens, load/unload feeders, pick parts, operate solder paste machine, and most importantly the ability to run SMT pick and place machines.

  • Assemble boards using written process instructions, assembly drawings and visual aids
  • Perform surface mount soldering, de-soldering, and thru-hole soldering
  • Conduct first piece and final inspection of mixed SMT and thru-hole circuit assemblies
  • Use microscope while soldering and inspecting SMT components
  • Assist in the training of other assemblers
  • Participate in continuous improvement process.

Electrical Manufacturing Maintenance Supervisor

Responsible for process optimization, includes the design, installation, and modification of new and existing electrical and electronic equipment, and systems used for all manufacturing operations at 3DFS.  Previous experience with Universal Instruments Production equipment highly desired. Provide project engineering and maintenance support for facilities and equipment. Assist in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems related to production, laboratory and test equipment. Provide technical assistance to manufacturing to resolve problems.
